About Bare Roots

It all started in the treatment room...

Healthy skin shouldn’t feel complicated, confusing or exhausting.

It shouldn’t come with irritation, second guessing or endless product switching.

I’m Suzanne - Dermal Therapist, Cosmetic Chemist and someone who spent over a decade running a skin clinic. In that time I saw the same story over and over: people chasing results with strong active ingredients, harsh treatments and ever changing routines, only to end up with unpredictable, sensitised and damaged skin.

It wasn’t just a theory - I lived it myself.

I tried strong actives and prescribed “clinical grade” products for years to my clients. Yes, they gave short term results, but over time my skin quickly became reactive and unstable. I couldn't understand why. Until I understood the importance of barrier health.

When I eventually developed Bare Roots, I focused on having organic formulas that supports the barrier instead of forcing change.

My skin in my 30s is calmer, stronger and much more resilient than it ever was in my 20s.

That shift... from pushing skin to supporting it is the foundation of Bare Roots.

I didn't want to launch just another skincare brand

Bare Roots isn’t about chasing the latest ingredient or layering every serum you see online. It’s about simplicity, consistency and barrier health first.

I don’t believe you need constant actives or harsh products to achieve your skin goals.
